We’ll be updating this as these roll it.
The greatest joy comes from giving….
We had a wonderful day collecting the gifts from all of the Elves. Thanks to all of the Elves, donors, and corporate sponsors.
Today is Giving Tuesday. There are 6 children left to be Elf’d. Go to our website, www.WestGaElves.org, select a child, and provide Christmas for them. Remember, “the greatest joy comes from giving”
We’re blessed to have the support of the good folks at Vansant’s Lawnmower in Douglasville, located at 2089 Midway Rd. On the web, you can find them here http://www.vansantslawnmower.com/
If you need something in that area go by and see them and while you’re there, say thanks for being an Elf !
9 children remain to be Elf’d. 24 are already taken care of. Help us get the word out. Receive a blessing beyond belief and Elf one of the remaining children. “The greatest joy during the Christmas season comes from giving”
I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a small part of the support system for these wonderful children.

We at West Georgia Elves are very excited to announce we are partnering with Dream House for medically fragile children. Since 2001, Dream House has served more than 1,000 medically fragile children in 54 Georgia counties, with the help of thousands of generous corporate and individual supporters, and volunteers.
What is Medically Fragile?
A medically fragile child is one who, because of an accident, illness, congenital disorder, abuse or neglect, has been left in a stable condition, but is dependent on life sustaining medications, treatments, equipment, and has need for assistance with activities of daily living.
Diagnosed medically fragile by a medical physician, this child may:
Have chronic health care conditions such as diabetes, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy (CP);
Be a transplant recipient and require special health care support, such as tube feedings, oxygen therapy, suctioning, tracheostomy care, or a ventilator;
Have limited mobility and require special health care support due to paralysis or chronic disease.
Dream House addresses the special life-care needs for medically fragile children by preparing families and communities to safely and effectively care for them at home.
Our Mission: Dream House increases the number of families and communities prepared to care for medically fragile children by:
Providing educational programs and unique teaching environments for families and care givers;
Assisting in the development of specially-equipped and accessible homes;
Increasing community awareness about the lives and needs of medically fragile children;
Creating opportunities for corporate and community partnerships focused on improving the quality of life for medically fragile children and their families.
Vision: Dream House empowers families to care for medically fragile children at home and improve their quality of life, by providing them a more efficient and effective way to care for them.
Purpose: Dream House increases opportunities for medically fragile children to live in stable, permanent home environments through the development of support resources and programs which increase the number of families and communities prepared to care for them.
We at West Georgia Elves welcome them as a partner and look forward to a successful future.
